How much nature and freedom do you want….?
The Oasis is available for 5 up to 11 guests. More people are welcome. On Sablou up to 45 guests can stay in 6 gîtes. The Oasis is the former studio of a painter who spent a long time on Sablou. As soon as you enter the house you feel the positive energy. The living room with open kitchen is high, light, large, robust and has a magnificent view. You are surrounded by nature. In short: discover the charm of simple beauty in an environment where silence is bubbling and where there are more than enough opportunities for social distancing.
Nature and environment
There is a large (play) meadow in front of the Oasis. You can also use the centrally located swimming pool of 16 * 6 meters, with loungers on the sun lawn. The 80-hectare private forest starts 20 meters from your accommodation, you can immediately choose from 3 hiking trails. Discover badgers’ burrows, follow the tracks of ‘wild’ boars, greet deer at dusk, find the cave of our house owl, the water house from 1750, the Citroën Rosalie, which was left behind after a chase in WWII, our cave with murals and crystals (guided). Embrace ancient trees, pick ripe figs from your garden, walk in subterranean passages under the tower from 1400 (guided), picnic in the sun on the slope of the ‘pony valley’ and discover much more… Experience the silent atmosphere of bygone times on an estate that previously belonged to the Rothschild family, among others. Visit the authentic chapel with painted ceilings. For musicians it is possible to play in the chapel.
Montignac, a tourist town by the river Vézère, is 5 km away, with the world-famous caves of Lascaux, nice terraces and all amenities. You can also visit the ancient town Terrasson, which is nicely built against the mountain and at 25 km you will find the fairytale Sarlat-la-Canéda. There are plenty of attractions within a radius of 25 kilometers, such as caves, various theme parks, horse riding in the river, canoe, mountain bike, swimming and of course endless hikes…
Prices per week:
The Oasis offers 2 bedrooms with two beds as standard. An extra bed can be placed in the spacious living room. The shower is combined with toilet. The number of beds can be expanded to 11 guests: you then have 5 bedrooms, 3 showers and 2 toilets.
